Lovetok Quizzes Growth Project
Overview of the Lovetok Quizzes Growth Project
Lovetok Quizzes began as an internal experiment to explore how simple, repeatable content structures could generate large-scale engagement on social media. The goal was to test how far a single creative mechanic (swipe-through “couples quiz” carousels) could be scaled through consistent posting, content psychology, and data-driven iteration. The format was deliberately simple: short “play with a partner” style posts where viewers compared answers with their partner or friends (e.g. “Who’s more likely to:”). This micro-interactive concept quickly resonated with TikTok’s algorithm, encouraging tagging, duets, comments and replays. Within 60 days, Lovetok Quizzes had organically grown to 25.6K followers, 1.6M likes, and over 23M total views, entirely through organic reach and careful optimisation of content cadence and structure. After the close of the project, I had scaled the page to £500/MRR, and exited by selling the page in March 2024.

Our Growth Strategy
Strategy & Implementation
The challenge was to design a content format that was endlessly repeatable but never repetitive; one that built recognition while inviting interaction. The approach focused on three key pillars:
Format consistency: Every post followed a multi-slide sequence, a setup (“Who’s more likely to…”) followed by playful options designed to spark debate and conversation.
Iterative testing: Post frequency, captions, and first-slide hooks were adjusted weekly based on retention data and engagement metrics.
Psychology of play: Each quiz tapped into light-hearted curiosity and social comparison, encouraging partners to participate together, a proven driver of comment engagement.
Key Results & Metrics
25.6K followers in under 60 days
1.6M total likes and over 20K comments
23M total views (100% organic)
+590% increase in profile visits month-over-month
Evolution of the Strategy
Lovetok’s growth didn’t come from virality alone. It came from systemising what worked. Each round of analytics informed micro-tweaks to the posting rhythm, question phrasing, and text design.
Phase | Approach |
|---|---|
Phase 1: Format Discovery | Tested multiple quiz types (“Who’s more likely to…”, “What would they choose?”, etc.) to identify the most engaging framework. |
Phase 2: Scaling & Optimisation | Standardised the format and colour palette to build visual familiarity and algorithmic recognition. |
Phase 3: Engagement Engineering | Introduced subtle prompts in captions and slides to increase comments, duets, and saves. |
Phase 4: Exit | Build revenue by making strategic partnerships in my niche (relationships/love) and selling the page to someone with capacity to nurture it further. |
